CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Central Division officers, with the assistance of Providence Division officers, arrested two people for breaking into a vehicle near Uptown.
The theft happened at around noon, on the 700 block of Charlottetown Avenue. Officers responded to a report of two suspects breaking into the trunk of a vehicle.
The duo, later identified as Deborah Genice Douglas, 38, and Michael Hames, 60, was seen leaving the scene on foot, and were apprehended a short time later.
Both were charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and larceny.
