Harris Teeter plans to share its good luck in selling the winning ticket in a recent Carolina Cash 5 jackpot with two Charlotte area schools.
Harris Teeter, a Charlotte-based grocery and pharmacy chain, received a $2,000 incentive bonus after one of its stores sold the winning ticket in the Jan. 4 Carolina Cash 5 drawing. The $78,387 jackpot was won by Ian Lynch of Charlotte.
The company plans to donate its incentive money to Saint Gabriel Catholic School and Cotswold Elementary School at a ceremony on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 10:30 a.m.
The ceremony will take place at Cotswold Mall Harris Teeter, located at 112 S. Sharon Amity Rd. in Charlotte.
