CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - More than 700 people are expected to attend this year's Charlotte Heart Ball at the NASCAR Hall of Fame. This is the Emerald Anniversary for the event which has been in our community for 55 years now.
Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States and currently affects one in three adults.
Dr. Yele Aluko, with Presbyterian Cardiovascular Institute, visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about the ball and the issue of heart disease in our community.
