ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -
North Carolina
residents who need an attorney's help but can't afford a consultation have an
opportunity to chat for free.
The Young Lawyers Division of the
North Carolina Bar Association is sponsoring what it calls "Ask a Lawyer
Day" on Saturday in nine cities across the state. Anyone who wants to
discuss specific legal issues or the legal system in general can sign up for one-on-one
meetings that are free of charge.
Ask-A-Lawyer clinics are being offered
in Asheville, Graham, Chapel Hill, Charlotte, Greensboro, Hendersonville,
Raleigh, Wilmington and Winston-Salem.
The time the sessions are offered vary by location, so for
specifics about time and place people should contact the bar association before
going.
