A man who killed another man in Charlotte nearly four years ago was sentenced Friday to life in prison without parole.
39-year-old Marco Davis was convicted of First-Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit First-Degree Murder for the August 2009 murder of 23-year-old Palo Childress.
Davis was a gang leader who conspired to have Childress killed.
After deliberating for two hours, the jury found Davis guilty, and the judge sentenced Davis to life in prison without parole for the murder conviction. Davis was also sentenced to 282-384 months in prison for the conspiracy conviction. The sentences will be served consecutively.
