(RNN) – An app gives women a more direct – not to mention violent – way to train their boyfriends to their satisfaction.
Boyfriend Trainer encourages women that "when scolding doesn't work, just zap him, whack him and train him to be your ideal man!"
So much for that weaker sex business – a leash, stun gun or blunt object are all great equalizers.
Of course, these relationships take place in a virtual setting, but it's an interesting turnabout given backlash over Chris Brown's assault of Rihanna in 2009 and her recent decision to resume dating him.
The game is available in the Android market and online and until recently was for sale on iTunes. Apple usually shuts down apps that include violence against women.
The app works by setting time limits in each level and allowing the player to punish the guy as much as possible for offenses ranging from staring at another cutie to hogging the remote.
It's an interesting take on problems women have been complaining about forever, but the game is apparently not a hit with everyone.
"The girl just slaps the guy and acts like she's in charge," wrote user Cake Lover. "I mean, girls don't act like this!"
It has to make you wonder why Cake Lover and the other people who wrote reviews bought the app in the first place, but oh well. You get the picture.
Games2win India Pvt. Ltd., a company based in Mumbai, India developed Boyfriend Trainer.
It's interesting that the 55 comments about the game on the Games2win website were overwhelmingly positive. Other games the company produces include those with titles like Naughty Sorority and Naughty Babysitter along with dozens of other titles in a wide range of genres.
