OXFORD, OH (FOX19) -
A record-breaking number of students has applied to Miami
University for the fall 2013 semester.
As of Jan. 30, Miami has received 21,027 applications, which
surpass the 20,314 applications received in 2012, then the highest in school
history.
Applications
are expected to grow by the Feb. 1 application deadline for fall 2013
enrollment.
"Our students achieve great success on campus and after graduation as a result
of the personal education they receive at Miami. This continues to be widely
recognized by not only prospective students and families, but also by employers
and professional schools," said Michael Kabbaz, associate vice president for
enrollment management.
U.S. News & World Report recently ranked Miami
third highest among the nation's top-ranked universities for "efficiently
spending their limited resources in order to produce the highest possible
educational quality."
Miami hosts numerous admissions special
events on campus throughout the year in addition to daily information sessions
and campus tours, providing prospective students and families the opportunity
for more personal interaction with current students, faculty and staff.
