Lewisville running back and safety Malcolm Means has verbally committed to N.C. State to play football next season. He becomes one of the first commitments for new Pack head coach Dave Doeren.
Means is 6 foot 2 and runs the 40 in 4.5 seconds. He is projected to play safety at the next level.
This past season, Means rushed for 1043 yards and 10 TD. He also had 27 catches for 553 yards and 7 TD receiving.
On the defensive side of the ball, he tallied 38 tackles with 4 QB sacks and 4 interceptions. He returned 2 of those INT for TD and one of those pick six returns was from 109 yards out which tied a state record.
Means will become the first Lewisville player to sign a Division 1 scholarship for football since Sheldon Brown back in 1997. Brown is currently a starting CB for the Cleveland Browns.
Means will make it official when he signs his national letter of intent February 6th on National Signing Day.
