CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Officers in the Providence Division of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrested two men suspected of taking part in a larceny from auto case.

18-year-old Jarvis Jones is charged with breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, attempted breaking and entering motor vehicle, financial transaction card theft (for using the victim's credit card), felony conspiracy, and misdemeanor larceny.

Officers say they found Jones in possession of a Schedule VI narcotic. He faces an additional charge of Possession with Intent to Sell/Deliver Marijuana.

Detectives arrested 20-year-old Davontae Johntaevous Walton in Grier Heights Monday afternoon, for his involvement in the case.

This stems from a case Thursday, January 24. At about 4:30 p.m., officers were called to Ellington Drive concerning a larceny from auto.

When officers arrived at the location, the victim stated that someone had damaged the door of his vehicle and entered it without permission or authority, before removing his wallet and cell phone.

During their investigation, officers also discovered an additional vehicle was broken into at the same location but nothing was removed from that vehicle.
