Where slick roads are still an issue this morning

Good morning! It's Monday, January 28. Hope you had a great weekend. This is Christine Nelson. I wanted to email this quick note about the stories we're going to get you caught up on when you turn on WBTV News This Morning. We're on from 4:30-7:00 a.m.!

ALERT: Not sure where your commute or your travels are taking you this morning. But we're not totally out of the woods yet when it comes to slick roads. The best person to tell you about it WBTV's Cam Man Ron Lee. He has been traveling overnight and discovered where the slick spots are. Tune in to find out the area you should be on alert.

NEW INFORMATION: Did you hear about that devastating nightclub fire? More than 200 people were killed. That number could climb depending on whether the people sent to the hospital recover. We found out new information this morning about why firefighters had a difficult time getting in the burning club.

Plus, you going to be hearing more about how to make your sidewalks more safe for pedestrians and people riding their bikes. It's a campaign the city of Charlotte is launching today so there is not a repeat of bike accident that killed a local high school student. WBTV's Astrid Martinez has more on what the city wants residents to start doing to take action.

A cold AND wet start to your morning. You'll want to catch our weather and traffic updates every 10 minutes today.

See you on the air!

Christine
