Sunday Project Life held a Bone Marrow Donor Registration Drive in Charlotte.
As seen last night on WBTV News, this group which was formed over 20 years ago at nearby Davidson college was asking people to come out and be a bone marrow donor.
The registration was held at the Sandra and Leon Levine Jewish Community Center, located on Providence Road in Charlotte.
Julie Rizzo said in a press release that the process is simple and takes only a few minutes, the donor just fills out a medical history form, then swabs the inside of your own cheek.
Bone marrow transplants are commonly done for someone suffering from leukemia, lymphoma and sickle cell anemia.
Project life has been established for over 20 years and continues to encourage others to have donor drives.
