CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Mardi Gras is coming to Charlotte on February 23rd when the Piedmont Chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America holds its 7th annual Lupus Mardi Gras Gala.
The money raised helps support the mission of the organization which is to serve the ongoing needs of people affected by lupus today while leading efforts to find a cure.
Carolyn Parsons with the Lupus Foundation visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about the event, and the local efforts underway to fight lupus.
