UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -
Last week we told you about the girls basketball team at Weddington off to one of their best starts ever.
A big reason for that is the play of sophomore Stephanie Watts. As a freshman, she averaged18 points per game and so far this season it's up to 21 points per contest.
She's already getting looks from schools like Charlotte, East Carolina, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest and scouts from other ACC schools have come to watch her play but she takes it all in stride.
Watts is a team oriented player, cool under pressure, and very humble which makes her truly special.
