CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Robbery Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are requesting the public's assistance in identifying a man who robbed a local store at gunpoint.
The armed robbery happened Monday, January 21, at Queen City Smokes and Novelties on E. Independence Boulevard.
The man went into the store and demanded glass cleaner, a product sold by the store. He then pointed a gun at the clerk and left with the cleaner in an unknown direction, police said.
The clerk was not injured.
The robber is described as a 25 to 35 year old white male, approximately 5'10", with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and khaki shorts.
The man may be operating a dark green SUV.
