It was a busy day 2 on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway.
The first stop was with Furniture Row Racing and driver of the #78 Chevy Kurt Busch. Kurt drove the final 6 races of the season in 2012. He finished in grand fashion as he collected 3 top 10 finishes in the final 3 races. They take that momentum into 2013 and think they could be a force this season.
The second stop was with Michael Waltrip Racing and it was a season to remember at MWR in 2012. They got 2 drivers into the Chase in Martin Truex Jr and Clint Bowyer. That is more than Joe Gibbs Racing. Bowyer would go on to finish 2nd in the points standings.
The final stop of the early session was at the NASCAR Hall of Fame where the discussion was about the new Generation 6 car. After testing at both Daytona and Charlotte, NASCAR brass feels this car is ready to go racing. More importantly, the drivers feel this car could lead to some of the best racing ever in NASCAR.
