Hall of Fame baseball player Stan Musial dies at 92.

St. Louis, MO -

St Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame outfielder Stan Musial passed away Saturday evening at the age of 92. 

Musial, affectionately known by his fans as," Stan the Man" played 22 seasons, all for the Cardinals.

During that time Musial won three MVP's and 3 World Series titles. 

He ranks fourth all time in hits with 3,630, behind only Pete Rose, Ty Cobb and Hank Aaron.

Stan remained an ambassador to the game after his playing days and served as vice president and general manager of the Cardinals.

William DeWitt Jr. the club's chairman said of musial, "Stan Musial was the greatest player in Cardinals history and one of the best players in the history of baseball."

Musial was inducted into baseballs Hall of Fame in 1969 during his first year of eligibility.
