CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - We know this flu season is severe. Millions of people across the country have been vaccinated.

Still, some people can't or won't get the flu shot.

Dr. Ryan Shelton with Carolinas Healthcare System visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to share advice on the different ways to avoid contracting the flu.

He was also able to share a few words of wisdom for coping with the illness if you're one of the unlucky ones who does get it.
