Get ready to dine in style; Queen’s Feast is back

The semi-annual Queen's Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week returns to the greater Charlotte area starting Friday, January 18.

Charlotte Restaurant Week is a metro-area promotion which allows diners to enjoy upscale restaurants for less.

The restaurants offer a prix fixe, three-course (or more) dinner for $30 per person. The price does not include tax or gratuity.

Queen's Feast runs January 18-January 27, 2013.

This year's Queen's Feast features a record 112 restaurants in six counties – Mecklenburg, Matthews, Concord, Belmont, Gastonia, Waxhaw, the Lake Norman area and Fort Mill, South Carolina.

"From that first Queen's Feast in July 2008 with 42 participating restaurants, it's grown to an event that impacts business for over 100 restaurants in the metro area and attracts both local and traveling diners," stated Bruce Hensley, president of Hensley Fontana Public Relations & Marketing, which owns and handles turnkey execution of the event. "We continually work to enhance the promotion; this time we're adding special hotel rates at several local properties to further establish Queen's Feast as a tourism driver for the Charlotte area."

The previous Charlotte Restaurant Week in July 2012 generated approximately 125,000 dinners and an estimated economic impact of over $5.8 million in revenue for the 107 participating restaurants.

January's Queen's Feast will feature numerous first-time restaurant participants, including Heist Brewery in NoDa, The Peculiar Rabbit in Plaza Midwood, Eastover's Napa on Providence, Ballantyne's Vine American Kitchen, and Amor de Brazil Steakhouse in Matthews.

Partners in the January promotion are 7th Street Public Market; the Greater Charlotte Hospitality & Tourism Alliance; Charlotte Center City Partners/; AAA Carolinas; Axis Marketing Group; CLT Dining; Yelp; US Foods; Grey Goose Vodka; Cointreau; Mount Gay Rum; Rose Chauffeured Transportation; Standard Parking; WBT-AM; 107.9 The Link FM; Charlotte Magazine; and
