CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Two people were arrested in west Charlotte for their involvement in an illegal gambling operation.

Souvnh Saratha, 41, and Thasouck Kotsomvath, 50, are charged with operating 5 or more video gambling machines and gambling, according to the arrest record from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

The two were arrested in connection to a gambling operation on the 6100 Brookshire Boulevard on January 11th.

Police seized hundreds of dollars in cash, five slot machines, a blackjack video machine, a karyoke machine, satellite TV boxes, three TVs, stereo equipment, gambling equipment and surveillance equipment.
