CALDWELL COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -
The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office investigated a break-in at a home in the Cajah Mountain area of Caldwell County. Several items of jewelry and prescription medication were reported stolen.
Detectives recovered the stolen gold jewelry at a gold recovery location. Shortly after, Jason Eugene Braswell and Jennifer Gilbert Watson, both of Lenoir, were arrested.
Investigators said they found the majority of the stolen medication in the possession of one of the suspects.
"I am very happy that our Office was able to recover the victim's property and make arrest in this case," said Sheriff Alan Jones.
Braswell is charged with Misdemeanor Larceny, Felony Possession of Stolen Goods/Property, Two counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Distribute Schedule IV Controlled Substance, Two counts of Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Distribute Schedule II Controlled Substance. He was given a $20,000 secured bond.
Watson is charged with Obtaining Property by False Pretense and was given a Written Promise by the Caldwell County Magistrate's Office.
