WEATHER ALERT: Snow, rain and freezing temps

Good morning! It's Christine Nelson. I want to give you a heads up on what's happening this morning. Turn on WBTV News This Morning from 4:30-7:00 a.m.

WEATHER ALERT: We have multiple crews spread out across the viewing area to give you live reports on the weather events from overnight. Yes, some of you got snow. Others will have to deal with the combination of wet roads and freezing temperatures this morning. We have live team coverage on where the snow fell and what the road conditions are like right now in your area.

There were thousands of power outages overnight too. In fact, at this hour, people in Mecklenburg County all the way up to the mountains will be waking up in the dark. We're keeping close contact with utility crews to let you know when power will be back on.

We have the most reliable and most experienced team in the market to keep you informed. Every 10 minutes WBTV Meteorologist Al Conklin will have your forecast and Traffic Reporter Tonya Rivens will have the latest on the commute.

The whole Manti Te'o saga is still leaving many questions unanswered about the fake girlfriend he had who died of leukemia. There is a lesson that can be learned from all of this. Do you really know who the person is on the other end when you meet them online?? We're on your side with what you need to know if you're ever in this situation.

We finally hear, in his own words, cyclist Lance Armstrong admit to doping. In case you missed it hear excerpts from his interview last night with Oprah Winfrey.

I have to go now to get on the set. See you on the air!
