At 12-3, the Weddington girls basketball team is off to their best start since 2002. The last and only time this program has claimed a conference championship.
2 of those 3 losses came to one of the top 4A programs in the state in Ardrey Kell.
So it is clear that this 3A Lady Warriors team is the favorite to win the Southern Carolina Conference.
They have a great 1, 2 punch in Stephanie Watts, who is averaging 21 points per game, and Bailee Carter, who is averaging 12 points per contest, but this team is not taking anything for granted. They know they still have to put in the work to claim their 1st title in 11 years.
