Deputies: Man robbed store, took clerk’s jewelry

LANCASTER COUNTY, SC (WBTV) -

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man that robbed a local store at gunpoint.

The incident happened Wednesday at 10 p.m. at the Dollar General store on Pageland Highway in Lancaster.

Once on scene, deputies were told by the clerk that an unknown male came in the store with a handgun while she was closing up.

The robber demanded money and the clerk's jewelry, then left the store with both, deputies said.

The man is described as a black male, approximately 20 to 25 years old. He is approximately 6'03" with a thin build. He was wearing dark clothing with a bandana across his face.

Anyone with information about the incident should call the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office immediately.
