Man indicted in deadly day-after-Christmas crash

MATTHEWS, NC (WBTV) -

The Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office says Justin Jones has been indicted in a deadly crash on Matthews Township Parkway the night after Christmas.

A Mecklenburg County Grant Jury indicted Jones on two counts involuntary manslaughter and two counts felony death by vehicle.

The crash killed Marie Crooke and her daughter Jennifer Hunt.

Police said Jones was impaired when his vehicle slammed into the car Crooke and Hunt were driving. Hunt's two daughters were also in the car, but they survived.
