Police in Gaston County say a woman walked into the police department Sunday morning and threatened to blow up the building with a gas can and a lighter.
Amanda Una-Karrim Barnes, 37, is charged with criminal contempt and malicious use of explosives causing property damage, according to the Gaston County Sheriff's Office.
Barnes was seen early Sunday morning wandering around the Gaston County Police Department's parking lot. When police officer approached her, she became upset and wandered off.
She didn't resurface again until around 6 a.m. she walked into the lobby with a gas can and lighter and said she was going to blow up the building because she wasn't being treated fairly as a veteran, according to police.
