CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
January is National Figure Skating Month. Charlotte Motor Speedway just so happens to have an ice skating rink nearby it, so I decided to give it a shot.
As CMS communications specialist and former figure skater Jen Hebert explained, ice skating and figure skating are two quite different things. She took me out on the ice for a quick lesson and possibly the fastest learner ever, emerged.

Coca-Cola Ice Rink at zMAX Dragway
Open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday through Jan. 21.
It's $12 to skate, which includes skate rental, and you can receive $2 off by presenting a Coca-Cola product at the gate.
