UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -
Union County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for a gunman after a man was shot in the back following an altercation outside of a home in Hemby Bridge, according to officials.
The incident happened Thursday evening on the 4100 block of Faith Church Road in.
Deputies said that the victim, whose name has not been released, and the shooter, Joshua Eugene Caldwell, 21, knew each other. The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment.
Warrants for arrest have been issued against Joshua Eugene Caldwell for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Caldwell turned himself in at midnight Sunday at the Union County Sheriff's Office.
Bond was set at $20,000.
