The storm system moving through the Southeast will move through the Carolinas Friday, but it heads out by the weekend.
And in its wake, expect a substantial warm-up for the weekend.
Expect highs in the 70s, with overnight lows only dropping into the 50s. Sunday's forecast high of 74° is only one degree shy of the record high of 75° for the date set back in 1960.
Another system will approach the area Monday, then bring rain into the forecast through the first half of the week.
