Spring-like weather is on the way to the Tri-state over the next few days.
Temperatures will soar Friday morning thanks to a surge of warm air to our south. Highs on Friday will be close to our record of 67 set back in 1890. (Our high today should be around 65).
A series of waves will move through over the weekend, and will combine with an impressive amount of moisture. The result will be moderate to heavy rain through Monday.
Showers on Friday should last through noon before drying out Friday afternoon.
Dry conditions should last overnight into Saturday morning before the next piece of energy moves in. Highs Saturday will reach the upper 60s, before heavy rain moves in Saturday night into Sunday. Showers will continue off and on through Sunday into Monday before colder air moves in and rain changes over to a light rain/snow mix. With the warm air this weekend, however, road conditions should not be an issue with possible winter weather. In total, 3-4 inches of rain is possible by Monday, with minor flooding. Stay tuned for details.
