The Rodon Group has been named a finalist for the 17th Annual Processor of the Year Award presented by Plastics News, a weekly trade publication that covers the global plastics industry. This prestigious award will be presented March 5th at the Plastics News Executive Forum in Tampa, FL.
Being named one of three finalists for such a highly respected and regarded award among other North American plastics processors is a great honor for Rodon. All nominees are evaluated on seven criteria: financial performance, quality, customer relations, employee relations, environmental performance, industry/public service and technological innovation.
According to Plastics News: “Rodon scored high marks in all seven categories. Customers said the molder is responsive and lean, so there’s no need to wade through layers of bureaucracy to solve problems. Rodon molds high-quality products at a competitive price, they said. For employee relations, one set of numbers says it all: An average of 14 years of Rodon experience for all employees; 20 years for all managers.”
As one of the most automated molders in the country, Rodon is quite used to leading the way. Rodon has been on the forefront promoting American Manufacturing through a board membership in American Made Matters, offers a "Cheaper than China" pricing policy and has reshored billions of manufactured parts back to the United States. Just two months ago, President Obama and White House Staff converged at The Rodon Group’s facility to show support for American manufacturing companies. The Rodon Group was chosen by the White House to represent not only the manufacturing sector of our economy but small businesses as well.
“2012 was a year full of honors and recognition. We continued to show growth in revenue as well as customer acquisition. Our “Cheaper than China” pricing policy received high praise from colleagues and contemporaries alike. And, we topped the year off with a visit from President Obama. This recognition from Plastics News certainly starts our 2013 New Year out on a high note,” said Michael Araten, President and CEO of The Rodon Group and K’NEX.
