Police: Woman in custody after firing gun at cars

Mount Holly Police say they a woman is being held on five-thousand dollars bond after she allegedly shot at a cars sitting at an intersection.

Wednesday evening a car pulled up to an intersection of Belmont Mt. Holly Road.

Ashley Hunsucker, who was standing in the parking lot of John Long's Cycles, pulled out a handgun and fired two shots at the car, police told WBTV.

When officers arrived at the scene they found the 26-year-old near the intersection of Belmont Mt. Holly Road and Beatty Drive.

Hunsucker was taken into custody without incident. Officers found a 380 caliber pistol in her possession and two spent shell casing in the same area.

A witness stated that she fired two random shots at two different vehicles. No vehicles or persons were struck by the gunfire.

Hunsucker has been charged with Going Armed to the Terror of the People, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Assault by Pointing a Gun and Discharging a Firearm in City Limits.

The man in the car told police he did not know the woman who reportedly fired at him.

No one was hurt as a result of the shooting.

Bond was set at $5,000.
