14-year-old shot in Charlotte neighborhood

Hello. It's Christine Nelson. Today is Wednesday, January 9. Here is a look at what we're covering and where we will be live today when you turn on WBTV News This Morning from 4:30-7:00 a.m.

OVERNIGHT: It was a busy scene when we arrived to a shooting overnight. A 14-year-old was one of two people shot in east Charlotte and at this hour the shooter is no where to be found. We'll tell you what police are still doing to track this person down, and have the condition of the two people shot.

ALERT: Planning a hospital visit to Carolinas Medical Center anytime soon?? Small children are not allowed! The hospital put the restriction in place less than 24 hours ago. We have details on why officials want small children to stay away.

Plus....for some people it's social, for others it's used to shed unwanted pounds. But dancing is also changing the lives of local children like we've never seen before. Just ask Kimberly Gonzalez. WBTV's Astrid Martinez is talking to her and taking a look inside what makes the dance classes at her school so critical in a child's development.

ON YOUR SIDE: Watch for my See, Click, Fix report this morning too! We were told about a utility pole that was leaning into a busy Charlotte roadway. We investigated to find out who's responsible for getting it repaired. We got results!

That's all for now. There's so much more to get caught up on when you tune in!

See you on the air!

Christine
