CMPD looking for man in series of armed robberies

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a man they say is responsible for a series of armed robberies.

Five of the robberies happened in November at three convenient stores, a McDonald's restaurant, and a Hampton Inn.

The latest happened Tuesday just before 1:30 a.m. at an ATM on the 8000 block of Medical Plaza.

The man is described as a white male with blonde hair, between 20 and 40 years old. He is between 5'4" and 5'11", and weighs approximately 120 to 180 pounds.

Police said the man may be driving a black 4-door Lincoln Town car.

Anyone with any information on the man or the robbery is asked to call Crimestoppers at (704)334-1600, or http://charlottecrimestoppers.com.
