Murder suspects expected in court Wednesday after shooting outside business

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested two men after a murder in east Charlotte on Farm Pond Lane.

The incident was reported at around 3:59 p.m. Monday on the 5600 block of Farm Pond Lane off of Albemarle Road, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Police arrived on scene and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken by Medic to Carolinas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Police identified the victim as 22-year-old Monte Gay. After further investigation two suspects were also identified Monday and police arrested Brent Samuels, 19, and Terrance Parker, 19.

Both are charged with murder and are expected in court Wednesday afternoon.
