CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are looking for the a man they say is behind a string of armed robberies.

Police released surveillance pictures of the suspect Monday in hopes someone would recognize the armed man.

The robberies started after November 23, 2012.

Three convenience stores and a McDonalds were robbed. The addresses are as follows:

  • 1035 N. Wendover Road
  • 9726 Monroe Road
  • 101 W. Woodlawn Road
  • 4474 Randolph Road

Police say his M.O. is the same each time: he walks into the business, pulls a gun on the cashier and demands money. No one has been hurt but police are concerned things could escalate if the man isn't caught.

Kathy Cates, a Charlotte resident, told WBTV outside one of the convenience stores she hopes someone who recognizes the suspect comes forward.

"That's all we can do and that's the best way we can fight crime is for the public to get out there and help," she said. "They can only be so many places at one time so I think it's up to the public to help them, help the police do their job."

The suspect is a white male with blonde hair, between 5'4" and 5'11" tall, with a thin build. The suspect is believed to be between the ages of 28 to 50 years old. He may be driving a black, four-door Lincoln Town car.

If you have any information about the robberies or suspect, call Crime Stoppers at 704.334.1600. You don't have to leave your name and you could get a reward.
