WILLIAMSTOWN, KY (FOX19) -
A local attorney and war veteran was laid to rest on Thursday with full military honors.
William Van Herpe served 27 years as a military officer.
He served two tours in Vietnam with General Norman Schwarzkoff and earned five bronze stars.
Van Herpe studied at Chase Law School and served 25 years as a Northern Kentucky attorney, following his military service.
He passed away on Christmas Day at the age of 78.
He left behind Beverlee Van Herpe, his wife of 56 years, and several family members living in the tri-state.
