Charlotte, NC (WBTV) – High school basketball is well under way and
Providence Day has a special freshman to watch.
Joshua Howard is a 13 year old freshman, which is unique in itself, but even
more interesting is the face that he's made the varsity basketball team.
It's no surprise Howard excels at basketball; he's the son of former
Charlotte Bobcat, Juwan Howard. You wouldn't be able to tell that he's the youngest
if you were going by his 6 foot 3 inch height.
Although freshmen do not typically get a lot of play time, Head Coach, Brian
Field, says Howard distinguished himself in the preseason workouts and will
have time on the court.
