A high speed chase ended in north Charlotte Thursday morning after hitting two other cars.
Troopers from the N.C. Highway Patrol were chasing a vehicle that had refused to stop on Newland Road around 9:30a.m.
The suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran near 31st and North Church Streets, according to police.
Marcus Jamarr James, 20, of Charlotte, was taken into custody a short time later. He was released from prison on burglary charges on Dec. 16.
