Police: Man seen behind building before Rock Hill fire


Firefighters are investigating a fire that started at a Rock Hill storage building Tuesday evening.

The fire was reported at a building at White and Main Streets around 9 p.m., according to the Rock Hill Fire Department.

According to police, a witness that reported the fire saw a man walking behind the building just before the fire started.

The witness told police that the man, who was around 5'9", was wearing a black jacket with a hoodie. The man walked away down nearby railroad tracks, and minutes later the fire began.

No injuries have been reported.

The fire remains under investigation.
