Emergency crews are treating nine people after a single vehicle crash in north Charlotte just before noon on Tuesday.
The crash happened along the 1800 block of Sunset Road, officials told WBTV.
Emergency crews say four children and a pregnant woman were among the nine people injured in the crash. They were all transported to Carolinas Medical Center-Main.
Two of the patients are described as having very serious injuries. Two others have potentially serious injuries and the remaining five are expected to be OK.
Officials say no one in the vehicle was properly restrained.
Charges are pending, WBTV has learned.
The driver told police that the brakes on the vehicle failed.
