CHANDLER, AZ (CBS5) -
Four people walked away uninjured after their small plane lost engine power and was forced down in a field near Chandler Municipal Airport on Monday.
A Chandler Fire Department spokesman said the single-engine Cessna 210 landed on its wheels near McQueen and Queen Creek roads and tipped forward just before noon. The pilot made the emergency landing about a quarter mile south of the airport.
The four passengers were examined by fire department personnel as a precautionary measure, the spokesman said. They are all OK.
There was substantial damage to the plane, according to FAA spokesman Ian Gregor.
The FAA is investigating.
