Firefighters are investigating after a mobile home caught fire in Mint Hill early Monday morning.
According to Captain John Phillips with the Mint Hill Fire Department, firefighters were called to a home on Rivendale Lane after a fire broke out around 5:45 a.m.
WBTV has learned that a woman lives in the home with her three children.
Investigators say none of them were home at the time of the fire; they were staying with friends.
The mobile home was completely destroyed.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family with food, clothing and shelter.
Fire marshals say an electrical issue inside the home is the cause of the fire.
