A man was formally indicted for the murder of a young mother on Christmas night.
Byron Frazier, 27, appeared in front of a grand jury on Thursday, accused of killing 20-year-old Kyila Shields in a double shooting in Westwood.
He is also accused of shooting Adam Deters and harming a two-month-old baby.
Shields was found dead at a home on Penrose Place around 8 p.m., and Deters was located at a nearby residence with non-life threatening injuries. Deters was transported and treated at UC Medical Hospital.
Bond was previously set for Frazier at $1,750,000 for charges of murder and felonious assault.
Police say that Shields and Deters had recently had the child.
