Speed is believed to be the cause of a fatal accident last night in Mint Hill according to a press release from the Mint Hill Police.
Police were dispatched to Truelight Church Road and Lawyers Road in reference to a hit and run involving property damage only.
When they arrived they found Adam Miles Lepisto (25) of Concord dead at the scene after he had crashed his 2001 Chevy Truck.
It is not known at this time if alcohol played a factor in the crash in which Lepisto hit a mailbox and overturned his truck before it came to rest on all four wheels.
Toxicology results will not be known til Wednesday due to the Holiday.
