Newly formed Operation Prayer Bears started ministering to the needs of kids today.
Over 100 students from United Faith Christian Academy came to donate teddy bears to the kids of Newtown Connecticut. The organization Operation Prayer Bears will deliver the bears once they reach their goal of five thousand.
The group was started with an idea many years ago but co-founder Brandt Steel says after the events last week the time is now.
"There are plenty of opportunities out there for people to do more and to show love and affection to other people and that's the message we want to get across that's what we feel."
Steele says he would like to see every kid in Newtown receive a Prayer Bear from the people of Charlotte. Steele sees this as just the beginning for Operation Prayer Bear. For more information check out, http://www.prayerbear.org/.
