A man threw a blanket over another man's head before robbing him at a local motel, according to the Monroe Police Department.
The incident happened on Sunday, December 16, just before 8 a.m. at the Economy Inn located on W. Roosevelt Boulevard in Monroe.
A man staying at the motel told police that a man wearing all black knocked on his door. When the victim opened the door, the robber threw a blanket over his head and threw him to the ground, the report states.
Once the victim was on the ground, the robber rolled him over, took his wallet, which had cash along with an ID and social security card, and ran towards W. Roosevelt Blvd., police said.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate anyone.
The man is described as a black male, around 5'10", weighing around 200 pounds, and wearing all black.
