Brown Co. Sheriff: Father, 71, shoots, kills son

BROWN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

According to a Brown County Sheriff's Deputy, a father shot his son to death Sunday.

The incident happened at 6155 Conn-Geeslin Road in Pleasant Township sometime during the early afternoon. Police say that the shot was fired after an altercation of some sort.

According to the Brown County Coroner the shooting victim was shot once in the chest. He died at the scene.

Police say that the victim's father, 71 year-old Leroy Louderback called 911 and said he shot his son. He also said his son was in the house. Louderback would not answer if it is an accident or not and told police that they would have to come see for themselves.

Louderback is being charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Court documents from the Brown County Clerk of Courts say that the property owner, Leroy Louderback, sued someone by the name of John Louderback, whose address is listed as 6165 Conn-Geeslin Road for domestic violence earlier in 2012.

The Louderback family owns a prominent business outside Georgetown, the Louderback Farm, which deals in large farm equipment and machinery.
