Construction work continues on the I-85 widening project in Concord starting at 9pm Friday night and continues all weekend. be prepared for delays as traffic will shift to the new northbound lanes from Bruton Smith Blvd {Exit 49} to Poplar Tent Road {Exit 52}. Expect some congestion since Concord Mills Shopping Mall is in the area and families will be visiting Speedway Christmas at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Use CAUTION or use Concord Pkwy S {Hwy 29} as an alternate route.
