Alyson McGill and her husband Shawn weren't even considering the significance on Wednesday's date when they went in for a routine Cesarean section to deliver their baby boy, Landon.
But when the doctor delivered Landon at 12:12 p.m. on 12/12/12, he became what's believed to be the only baby in the Charlotte area to share such a distinction.
"We just thought we were coming in for a c-section and all of a sudden, the past 24 hours have been crazy," said Alyson from her room at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Landon has become a bit of a local celebrity in the hours since his birth. He's also believed to be amongst only a handful of babies in the country born at the exact same time.
Landon's parents both believe the date is obviously special but neither are exactly sure what it will mean for their healthy son.
It would probably be safe to say "12" might one day be a lucky number for little Landon.
