CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – A big win last Sunday against NFC South rival, Atlanta, could give the Panthers the right momentum and confidence to finish the season with a couple more wins.
The Cats travel to San Diego this week to face a team they consider to be very similar in finishing. Greg Olsen said the team's record was "like looking in a mirror," they have the talent and play close games every week but end up on the wrong side of the win column.
Captain Munnerlyn said the match up this week will be tough, especially with both team coming off of "upset" wins.
Luke Kuechly was named NFC Defensive player of the week with his impressive performance against the Falcons, where he stacked up 16 tackles. Coach Ron Rivera says the continuous growth of Kuechly as a person and an athlete is impressive.
With the San Diego win over Pittsburgh, the Chargers' tied the Chicago Bears for the NFL's defensive touchdown lead meaning a big challenge for the Carolina offense.
